Innovation behind new bond between Auto Windscreens and Henkel
Henkel Adhesive Technologies is Auto Windscreens new direct glazing product supplier and has been chosen due to a shared desire by the companies to develop solutions that innovate and ensure safety in the vehicle glass repair sector.
Henkel’s Teroson PU8730HMLC direct glazing adhesive offers a 30-minute safe driveway time for Auto Windscreens’ customers and will now be used across the glass repair company’s UK network, following an initial rollout last month in Scotland and northern England.
Auto Windscreens’ MD Rupert Armitage saw the product in action in Germany earlier this year during a live crash test that took place on a vehicle half an hour after its windscreen was bonded.
Armitage commented: “The results were impressive and I feel confident that in Teroson we are utilising a strong product that will give our customers’ vehicle windscreens a long-lasting, safe bond. Henkel has showed innovation in their adhesive solutions and I’m keen to see how we can proactively work together to develop future products.”
Teroson has over 120 years of brand history and is widely recognised as a leading supplier to the vehicle repair market.
Henkel’s Marketing Manager Colin Chapman commented: “We work closely with car makers to ensure the quality of our repair products is equal to those used for original manufacturer. Our latest Teroson direct glazing adhesive is no exception and it offers the big customer benefit of a 30-minute driveaway time too. We are delighted to cement our new relationship with Auto Windscreens with this ground-breaking product.”
